Liver Detox

Detoxification and Cleansing:

The main belief in naturopathy is that toxin build-up inside the body causes disease. Detoxification and cleansing, free your body of these toxins; allowing it to heal itself. Cleansing is a process that starts by freeing the toxins from within the cells and tissues of your body, releasing them into the bloodstream; where they can be filtered through the liver and eliminated from the body. Detoxification is often a difficult process to go through and you need to be committed to the process and prepared for some discomfort while you’re detoxing. There are hundreds of detox diets out there; but I recommend following the instructions of Dr. Saul Pressman, when it comes to detox and cleansing.

4 tablespoons of oral Epsom Salts

11:00 a.m. – Drink another 3/4 cup of the cold Oral Epsom salts/Vitamin C powder mixture and go back to bed.

1:00 p.m. – Get up and drink 4oz. of Apple juice and 4oz. of Beet juice. Relax for 1 hour.

2:00 p.m. – Eat a banana or an orange. Relax for 4 hours.

6:00 p.m. – Eat a light supper of salad or fruit (no meat).

( Immediately following a liver cleanse, you will pass many stones in your bowel movement. Do not be alarmed, this is a good thing. It may take several cleanses, spaced out over a period of months to completely clear out all of the stones from your liver.) It is also; recommended that you follow a liver cleanse with a coffee enema, to pull out further toxins being stored in the liver. About a quart of coffee (made from organic coffee beans), retained for 10 minutes; should be sufficient.

Replace intestinal bacteria that might have been lost in the cleansing process, by taking acidophilus, soil-based organisms (SBOs) and inulin (dandelion root) for one week, following any liver cleanse.

Repeat spring and fall for maintenance and optimal health benefits.
